This is PATHS!
Our purpose
We aim to uplift trans voices in research; the survey and interviews were created by trans and nonbinary researchers, stakeholders, and community members.
They explore various domains of health and lived experiences among transgender and nonbinary adults in Washington, Utah, New York, Connecticut, and Georgia. Eligible participants are over the age of 18 and identify as trans or nonbinary.

You are eligible if you are a transfeminine, transmasculine, or nonbinary adult (18+) living in Washington, Utah, New York, Connecticut, or Georgia.

We will not collect identifiable information, aside from an email address. All interviews will be de-identified to maintain confidentiality, and participants are assigned a record ID (e.g. #1234). Interview transcripts are stored in a password-protected Dropbox folder, and only members of the study team have access to the password. In publications, all responses will be grouped with other participants.

The responses will help evaluate current legislative policies and create suggestion for policy changes.

You’ll participate in a 30 minute online survey.

We will ask questions regarding demographics, social safety, legislative stigma, experiences of discrimination, sexual health, general health, mental health, and barriers to care.

Responses contribute to our knowledge of trans health. This study is being used as a starting point to develop future policy and interventions, tailored to the needs of our communities. Participants are awarded a $25 online gift card for the 30 minute survey.
